# Examination image credits

These published examination images are distinct from OptoGuide's original synthetic atlas plates. They are not matched images from one eye. Source files are reproduced without pixel changes; OptoGuide's removable locator rings identify representative regions, not segmented boundaries or measurements. No endorsement by the source authors is implied.

## Normal macular OCT

- **File:** normal-macular-oct.png
- **Author:** Wies6014
- **Source:** https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:SD-OCT_Macula_Cross-Section.png
- **Licence:** Creative Commons Attribution–ShareAlike 4.0 International, https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/
- The source describes a healthy macula and explicitly records consent for its publication. No name, identifier, report header or face is included in this image. Eye laterality and scan direction are not documented in the file description.
- The source image is unchanged. OptoGuide's image-specific locator coordinates/annotations in `src/lib/study/anatomy/examination-images.ts` are also offered under CC BY-SA 4.0. This notice applies to those image annotations, not to unrelated application code.

## Normal right-eye fundus

- **File:** normal-right-fundus.jpg
- **Author:** Mikael Häggström
- **Source:** https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Fundus_photograph_of_normal_right_eye.jpg
- **Licence:** CC0 1.0 Universal, https://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/
- The source describes a normal right-eye fundus photographed from a healthy volunteer. The image is reproduced unchanged. OptoGuide adds removable illustrative locators; these are not boundaries or quantitative measurements.

## Corneal slit-lamp anatomy example

- **File:** cornea-slit-lamp.jpg
- **Author attribution:** Baristoprak~commonswiki, as attributed by the source.
- **Source and public-domain declaration:** https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Cornea.jpg
- The source identifies cornea, iris and lens. It does **not** document normal clinical status. The example is used to locate the corneal section, not to certify a normal eye, normal corneal thickness or individual microscopic layer boundaries.
- Image reproduced unchanged; a removable OptoGuide locator identifies the corneal region. There is no visible face or patient identifier.

## Clinical evidence and review

Clinical references are supplied beside the comparison, at the end of the anatomy page and in the shared bibliography. Image licensing is separate from clinical evidence. Source and assistant visual review do not constitute independent human clinical acceptance of the locators or 3D models. A documented normal high-resolution corneal optical section remains a source-quality gap.
